Rich in Vitamins
Fresh and cooked pumpkin is chock full of vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A, potassium, alpha-carotene, zinc, beta carotene, and lutein. Pumpkin is rich in important essential vitamins and nutrients necessary for healthy and radiant skin. Try making your own homemade skin care treatments using fresh pumpkin.
RAW Pumpkin Pie Smoothie:
1 cup raw pumpkin, peeled, seeded and cubed
1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds (I use raw sprouted pumpkin seeds from rawfoodworld.com or amazon)
3 to 4 dates, pitted
1 tablespoon extra virgin coconut oil
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, fresh grated
1 teaspoon ginger root, fresh grated
Pinch celtic ea salt
1 1/2 cups water
Throw everything into a high speed blender adding as much water as necessary. Enjoy!
