The Chocolate Queen is back in the kitchen experimenting. It is hot in Arizona so what else better to do then make chocolates inside in the cool AC.
This recipe offers lavender in combination to chocolate which is a great mixture.
Lavender Oil is what is sometimes referred as the “Swiss Army” knife in Essential Oils because if you do not what oil to use just grab your lavender.
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has a sweet, floral aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Lavender’s aroma is great for relaxing and winding down before bedtime; add to bath or diffuse to create a calming and comforting environment. Lavender essential oil may compliment your favorite shampoos, lotions and skin care products. Lavender is great for TENSION !
Calming Chocolate Lavender Candies
- 3/4 cacao butter
- 3/4 cup cacao powder
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup maple syrup (I use 1/4 cup but I like my chocolates less sweet)
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 5 to 10 drops of Young Living Lavender Essential oil (drops depending on your preference)
In a double boiler slowly on low heat melt the cacao butter.
Add cacao butter and sea salt in a bowl and slowly whisk in cacao powder when thoroughly mixed whisk in maple syrup.
Once mixed to a smooth texture add optional Love Wine (this is amazing).
Next add Lavender Essential oil. Mix slowly in to chocolate then ready to pour into molds.
Chill in Freezer until firm.
Pop out of molds and ready to eat!
If you use coarse ground salt be sure to grind it up before adding to recipe.
